The Hip-Hop Theater Program introduces youth to the dynamic world of theater through the lens of hip-hop culture. Participants engage in 12 workshop sessions that help them build foundational skills in hip-hop storytelling, dance, and acting. They then enter a rehearsal process for an additional 12 or more sessions as they work towards culminating in a fully realized theater production. Youth are also introduced to behind-the-scenes aspects such as set design, lighting, and stage management, providing a comprehensive understanding of theatrical production.
